Phenylephrine

Biorphen, Phenylephrine, Vazculep, Omidria (phenylephrine) is a small molecule pharmaceutical. Phenylephrine was first approved as Biorphen on 2012-12-20. It is used to treat fissure in ano, hemorrhoids, hypotension, open-angle glaucoma, and pruritus ani amongst others in the USA. It has been approved in Europe to treat intraocular lens implantation and postoperative pain. The pharmaceutical is active against alpha-1A adrenergic receptor and alpha-1B adrenergic receptor.
