Duragesic, Subsys, Effentora, Instanyl, PecFent (fentanyl) is a small molecule pharmaceutical. Fentanyl was first approved as Duragesic on 1990-08-07. It is used to treat pain in the USA. It has been approved in Europe to treat neoplasms and pain. The pharmaceutical is active against mu-type opioid receptor. In addition, it is known to target delta-type opioid receptor, kappa-type opioid receptor, and secreted endo-1,4-beta-xylanase. Fentanyl citrate's patent is valid until 2030-04-27 (FDA).
